Now Entering Parenthood...

Little Baby X is about the length of a shrimp now… almost 3 inches long.  My last ultrasound put my due date at 01/01/10, which means I’m 13 weeks pregnant and just days away from being out of this first trimester.  Earlier estimates had me at about 01/06/10, which would mean I’m 12 weeks.  Either way, my belly keeps expanding and I’m finding it harder to hide the fact that I am pregnant.

Other fun baby facts.  The baby has developed it’s reflexes, which explains why when the technician kept pushing down on my belly, X kept squirming all around.  The baby has fully formed fingerprints on tiny fingertips, veins, and functioning organs (including genitals, but we still can’t see those for another 6 weeks).

Symptoms:

• Naptime. I’m still tired, a lot… I’m hoping I can get back to some more active exercise in the 2nd trimester, but in the meantime, I’m doing lots of yoga.
• Watch out baby bump!! I’m having to use a rubber band to close some of my tighter jeans, and my midsection basically looks like a tree trunk… bye bye waistline.
• Hungry hungry hungry
