Now Entering Parenthood...

Right now I am fifteen weeks pregnant, almost halfway through!! Well, a few more weeks for that, but a lot of exciting stuff is going to happen in the next couple weeks.  Really soon, I will know the sex of our future child and feel him/her move for the first time.  Although, this morning I swore I felt “quickening” and I don’t mean that I am becoming the Highlander, it’s small bubbles and flutters in your belly that are actually early signs your baby is moving.

Other fun baby facts: the baby is about the size of an apple, 4 inches long and 2.5 ounces. His eyelids are still fused shut, but apparently still sensitive to light, so if I shine a flashlight on my belly, the baby will move away.

Symptoms

• Quickening? Feeling some strange bubbles and general weird sensations in my belly area lately, but pregnancy also causes a lot of indigestion so it’s really hard to tell what’s what.
• Severe exhaustion. I’m making a promise to myself right now to get more sleep, because right now I’m feeling more tired in T2 than I did in T1.  It got really bad at the end of this week, to where I’m couch-bound after work.  I’d like to get back to exercising please.
• Weight gain still slow moving… which I guess is okay, I’m certainly eating, but if it doesn’t pick up speed by week 20, I might want to consider asking the doctor if this is something I should worry about.
