Last night marked the end of a long and somewhat painful process… the completion of our baby registry. While I usually dig deep when researching a new piece of technology, Marta took the reigns on this task by reading an entire book on baby products. I’m really glad she did, because it really helped us be smarter and more informed as consumers. The Baby Bargains book combined with great advice from coworkers and friends made the process a whole lot easier, and yet it was still exhausting. It became overwhelming when I began to realize just how many products and devices you need when having a baby. I also began to see just how important it is to have a baby shower to help offset the tremendous cost of all these items. As we walked up and down the isles, scanning more and more items, I started to wonder where the hell we are going to store all this stuff. I feel like our house is packed to the brim as it is! But shopping for baby gear did manage to do one very positive thing for me; it got me even more excited for the arrival of our little stinker. Seeing all the products up close like the clothing, seats and carriers made me really start to picture what it’s going to be like to tote around a miniature human that is made up of 50% of my own DNA. I can’t wait!
