Now Entering Parenthood...

It’s been a while since we have made any major changes to the house, and the arrival of our son has once again brought us back to the days of making multiple trips to Home Depot. We had a tough time deciding what to do for the baby room. At first, we had some grandiose visions of fantasy murals painted onto the wall and other crazy ideas. Realizing that neither of us had the time, energy, or necessary skills to pull that off, we opted for something a little more “adult-like”.

Our idea was actually inspired by some of the photos we saw while building our baby registry.When shopping for crib sheets online, the products are usually displayed in very well-designed baby rooms and you can get lots of great ideas this way. We decided that we wanted to keep at least some of the purple color that the room was already painted in, but jazz it up a bit. Marta got busy with Photoshop, and after a lot of tweaking she created some very nice mock ups that we have been using to buy the new paint. It will be very interesting to see how close we actually come to these. Keep watching this blog for photos of the finished project!
